This bespoke storage wall, created in a loft-style flat in Luxembourg, was the result of some fairly in-depth discussions with the owners. The large area available meant we could, firstly, consider the use of partition walls, with the aim of reconfiguring the existing space. Secondly, we focused on the furniture itself, aiming not only to create storage but also to accommodate the television and establish visual connections between the kitchen-diner and the other rooms in the flat. In short, it is a piece of furniture that could be described as all-encompassing. Let us explain everything…

A storage unit that doubles as a wall
The storage wall is a category of furniture that encompasses a wide variety of designs. This example is particularly aptly named, in that the unit actually functions as a wall – a partition separating it from the rest of the home – whilst blending in with the original architectural structure. On the right, the flat-screen TV blends into the black surface, forming a sort of sumptuous, seamless screen made of furniture.

Yes, there really is a fireplace taking centre stage in the middle of this storage wall. This large, made-to-measure unit, finished entirely in matt black (and fingerprint-resistant to boot), comprising cupboards, glass panels in the upper section and even doors, was designed to incorporate the existing fireplace and even accommodate a flat-screen TV! Arranged like a painting, the golden and luminous decorative touches lend it an irresistible chic.

You have to admit that these cupboard doors, clad in slatted panelling, offer a completely unexpected view of this storage wall. In this flat in Luxembourg, many visitors are amazed by the numerous original features of this piece of furniture.
Key features
This bespoke storage unit, which also serves as a room divider, is actually used to separate the living room from the kitchen. An attractive contrast, already introduced by a marble table, is emphasised by the kitchen, which features white and stainless steel. A fine example of Luxembourg chic.

Black goes with everything (yes, everything!). So what about gold? These gleaming decorative pieces couldn’t be better placed, enhanced by LED lighting that is as subtle as it is refined. The golden highlights against the matt black are pure splendour. The wall unit reveals nothing but its fronts, lending it a rare air of mystery.

The bespoke storage unit, with its bold black design, further emphasises its unique character by incorporating the television screen, transforming it into a TV unit. No cables disrupt this monochrome tranquillity, as they are perfectly concealed within the unit’s structure.
