Fitting out the space under a steep flight of stairs in Geneva – inevitably a tricky job
A duplex does not necessarily mean a large flat, even in Geneva. Nevertheless, with 60 m² spread over two floors, this home can be described as a cosy little retreat. The staircase connecting the two floors has been designed to take up as little floor space as possible. As floor space is at a premium, the decision to fit a bespoke under-stair unit has helped to maximise its potential even further.

Two doors, no handles
To blend in perfectly with the shape of the staircase, this bespoke under-slope cupboard has no handles. The two cupboard doors open with a simple push and close in the same way. The angle of the doors is precisely parallel to the slope of the staircase, ensuring a perfect fit.
The Genevan under-stair unit
The under-stair unit, designed and made to measure to suit the steepness of the staircase, features two doors that taper to a very acute angle. The cutting and edge-finishing work was achieved using precision technology and finishing techniques of which we at BeHome Interiors Geneva are particularly proud.
