This entrance hall design in Bussigny (near Lausanne) is part of a larger project. Offering a generous amount of space, this entrance hall provides access to the rooms on the ground floor (kitchen, living room, toilet and bathroom) as well as to the upper floor via an elegant staircase, which we customised for the project.
Overview of the entryway design of the house near Lausanne
Set the tone right from the entryway to make an impression on visitors
Particularly spacious, the entrance hall of this house near Lausanne offers numerous design possibilities. The concept chosen by our clients features a beautiful natural, light-filled design with a strong emphasis on greenery…
Let’s start with the staircase
A large, welcoming space greets you as soon as you step through the front door. On the left, the brand-new staircase has been clad by our partner in beautiful light-coloured solid wood to create a soft contrast.
Natural and suspended lighting
Above you, the roof and its exposed structure create a wonderful sense of spaciousness and natural light. A collection of light fixtures by Belgian brand Wever & Ducré appears to float overhead. The copper-coloured mirrored glass pairs beautifully with the slightly smoked glass balustrade on the upper floor.
Immersed in a botanical atmosphere
A wall covering opposite the entrance door, featuring deep green wallpaper with botanical motifs, covers a generous area and creates a visual connection between the doors to the toilet and bathroom. This wallpaper by design studio Arte brings a unique character to the hallway, a space that is often underused in a home.
A practical little feature
A small washbasin opening onto the hallway, with a basin set on a bespoke vanity unit, avoids the need to go into the bathroom. Set within a charming décor (a backlit mirror and artwork by Ibride), it is as practical as it is elegant.
“For our newly built home, we decided to ‘decorate’ it right away to suit our tastes. The entire first floor (excluding the bathroom) benefited from BeHome Interiors’ expertise and talent in ways that exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much!”
A Complete Entryway Renovation
This entryway redesign was an opportunity to have some fun with the decor and focus on adjacent elements, such as the access to the kitchen via a sliding door and a niche created specifically for this space… Why don’t we take a closer look?
A Play of Textures and Materials
The reflections and shine of the mirror and sink contrast with the matte finishes of the paint and faucets. The animal portraits by the Ibride brand add a touch of wildlife to the floral wallpaper.
Movie-Themed Restrooms
It’s rare to pay much attention to restrooms when it comes to interior design. For this project, the client wanted to decorate all the rooms on the ground floor as much as possible, in order to make the entire space as cohesive and pleasant as possible. Here, the green color introduced in the hallway extends into this private space. Black-and-white photos of movie stars brighten up the wall and reflect our clients’ love of cinema.
Sliding door to the kitchen
A workshop-style sliding door elegantly marks the entrance to the kitchen. Stylish and easy to open, it provides a view between the two areas and avoids the clutter of a hinged door.
