To help with the reconstruction of their home, these clients needed furniture and commissioned our team in Luxembourg to create two bespoke hall units as well as furniture for their living room. The piece described below was designed to accommodate a large existing drainage pipe, which imposed certain depth restrictions. The fronts of this bespoke hall unit are finished in oak-effect melamine to ensure they blend in with the overall design of the project and the front door.

A bespoke hall unit that creates a sense of harmony
One reason this bespoke hall unit makes such an impression is that it extends from floor to ceiling. Furthermore, its oak-effect melamine fronts create a beautiful harmony, not only with the front door, but also with the furniture we are creating at the same time for the living room. Bespoke design truly comes into its own when it combines both the client’s wishes and the creativity of our interior designers.
"For this built-in cupboard, we wanted it to blend in with the front door and the other pieces of furniture we were planning to have in the living room. Fabrice, from BeHome Interiors, listened to us at length and impressed us with his ideas and practical approach."
What was it like before?
Due to the major building work carried out in the house, this hallway had not been fitted out at all. It was ‘in its original state’, as they say. A large drainpipe in the right-hand corner is the only major constraint to be taken into account for the hallway furniture project.
Designing the hall unit
Apart from the pipework, which can easily be worked around, the available space is essentially a standard rectangular area. Our clients want plenty of storage space for their clothes and various belongings. This unit will serve as both a coat rack and a cupboard with numerous shelves. An initial 3D design is used to formalise all the ideas and measurement specifications.
Before the real thing, a stunning 3D rendering
This rendering helps you visualise the hall unit in its setting a little more clearly. The more realistic materials and lighting mean that the client can visualise their future bespoke unit alongside the interior designer before giving the go-ahead for production.
A stylish hallway
Extending from floor to ceiling over a height of approximately 3 metres, this hall unit comprises three large lower doors and three upper doors, all without handles. Its oak-effect melamine fronts open with a simple push and blend harmoniously with the front door.
