In the loft of a house, there is often a wealth of space available, yet people are often unaware of its full potential. This bespoke office, complete with a wall of storage units, provided the perfect opportunity to fulfil several of our client’s wishes and needs. A cosy corner to work in, as well as cupboards to store plenty of belongings. A wonderful project for BeHome Interiors.
A bespoke office and plenty of storage space
The space at the top of the stairs could give the impression of being cramped. Under the eaves, the floor area seems smaller, and it’s not always easy to appreciate the potential when the walls are ‘cut off’ in height. Yet there is actually 3 metres of headroom between the floor and the ceiling! Fitting out a wall with storage and a desk doesn’t actually take up much floor space.

A cosy little office
Modest in size but ample enough for day-to-day administrative tasks, this bespoke desk is neatly tucked away so as not to take up too much space and is a pleasure to use. A solid wood bookcase on the left and overhanging shelves are very handy for keeping documents and the printer within easy reach. Well-placed wall sockets allow you to plug in your computer and telephone.
A colourful study
The colour scheme lends this attic office a very pleasing look. The off-white and blue create a lovely contrast, accentuated by the surrounding light-coloured wood. The bespoke cupboards blend in seamlessly, so you don’t feel as though you’re working in the middle of a walk-in wardrobe.
Work Environment
A splash of colour, high-quality furniture, a few decorative touches and some plants – this is an office where working hours (or remote working) are made more enjoyable thanks to careful planning and constructive dialogue with the client.
