In this rather classic bedroom, where white was already prominent on the walls, the bedding and the ceiling, our client in Dudelange wanted to take the concept of whiteness even further, to give this room a distinctive character that Stanley Kubrick himself would not have disowned. By entrusting this bespoke office design project to BeHome Interiors Luxembourg, the client was won over by our idea of a ‘total’ piece of furniture, combining a desk, bookcase and walk-in wardrobe. White now reigns supreme – right down to the armchair…
A bold choice from start to finish: white!
A fan of minimalist design (as are we), our client has a real passion for monochrome. In this bedroom, white is king – or nothing at all! So the client isn’t giving us carte blanche (that was an easy one), but is open to any suggestions. The furniture will therefore be pure white: the various pieces (bespoke desk, shelves, cupboards, walk-in wardrobe, etc.) have all been made from matt white melamine, to blend seamlessly with the walls and ceiling.

A soft and gentle office
The softness that characterises this office and furniture project in Dudelange stems both from the predominant white colour and the clean lines of the vertical and horizontal elements. The natural shadows create shades of white and light grey, lending a cottony feel without any harsh contrasts.
A small wall-mounted bookcase
Made to measure using the same materials as the bespoke desk, the bookcase’s uprights and shelves are of a generous thickness, creating a harmonious extension of the main piece of furniture. No visible screws would dare to mar the pristine whiteness of this delicate sanctuary of literature and décor.
A desk, but not just that…
On either side of the desk – the centrepiece of this bespoke unit – are handle-free doors that open with a simple press. Behind them lie several storage spaces that serve as a dressing room, cloakroom and cupboard. Nothing is left lying about; everything has its place in this office in Dudelange.

And the icing on the cake: a white armchair in this bespoke white setting – what better way to blend into this monochrome décor? It’s a VVD Chair by Bulo. Our client didn’t tell us whether he dresses all in white to work there during long, sleepless nights at his desk…
