This living room furniture piece, custom-built to span the full width of a wall adjacent to an exterior glass door, combines several of the client’s requests. The desire for a contemporary design that avoids symmetry, the need for soundproofing, and a relaxation area. All of this has been achieved with this chic and cozy living room unit featuring a bench and built-in cabinet.

A storage wall that’s useful in more ways than one
Featuring numerous cabinets, this custom-made living room piece is designed first and foremost to meet the clients’ storage needs. The slatted panel at the back of the piece isn’t just there for style—it serves a genuine acoustic purpose for the wall separating the two rooms, as sound-absorbing foam between the slats absorbs high-frequency sounds. The effect is stunning. Lying back on the bench, you’ll feel as if you’re in a cocoon.
“We chose BeHome Interiors because their custom furniture design, presented in 3D, was truly original. Our living room has become very cozy, and the back of the unit helps soundproof the adjoining room.”
Form and Function
Designed to span the entire width of the wall, this custom living room cabinet has no handles. The cabinet doors open with a simple push and close just as easily. Different shelf depths help avoid monotony and the often-overused symmetry. The matte black creates a chic contrast with the natural oak tone of the entire piece.
Bench and Storage
The cabinets meet our customers’ need for storage. Available in various sizes, each serves a specific purpose (dish cabinet, deep drawers for odds and ends, compartments for fabrics and files…). The bench is that extra touch that invites you to let go and savor a well-deserved moment of relaxation.
A Sleek Parisian Piece of Furniture
Between the oak acoustic slats and the wall behind this living room piece, the sound-absorbing foam absorbs high-frequency sounds for a stunning effect. It addresses a real need to reduce noise between the living room and the adjoining bedroom. Newer homes sometimes have walls that are too thin and poorly designed, which can be a nuisance for people living in the same household. The lighting adds warmth and highlights decorative objects.
