Buying a new flat is a significant milestone in the life of an individual or a family! Often handed over unfurnished (or, in the project we’re looking at here, with a fitted kitchen already in place), the next step is to furnish it. Our client made the (right) choice to turn to BeHome Interiors Luxembourg for the interior design of their property in Hesperange, from the entrance hall to the living room.

Current situation
When we travelled to Hesperange to meet our client and view the newly completed flat, we quickly realised what had won her over. The main room of this flat is a generous size and has not yet been partitioned off, making it easy to envisage an open-plan layout comprising the kitchen (already fitted), the lounge and the living room. Opening onto a large terrace, the floor-to-ceiling windows let in a lovely natural light.
“My new flat had only just been handed over when I quickly put my design requirements to several interior designers. I chose BeHome Interiors Luxembourg after first seeing their portfolio on their website, and then meeting Fabrice, who, together with his team, oversaw the design, the ordering of the furniture and the fitting of the whole project. A big thank you!”
Designing and fitting out the new flat in Hesperange…
Apart from the kitchen, which is already in place, this new flat in Hesperange promises to be a wonderful canvas for our interior designers. With an average floor area of around 40 square metres and great potential, it allows for the creation of several living areas for the family. A mood board forms part of the first stage, suggesting a colour scheme and a variety of materials in line with the discussions held with the client. Two different layout options are proposed in the form of two floor plans.
Then bring it to life in 3D, as if you were really there
An interior design project is not always easy to visualise from a 2D plan, particularly one drawn in black lines and viewed from above. Realistic 3D visualisations make it much easier to understand the design and allow us to present our client in Hesperange with our vision for her future flat. A range of colour options, which are easy to adapt, helps to resolve any lingering doubts.
A piece of furniture in the hall
To start with, the hall can be made welcoming with a storage unit that includes a seat and a mirror – just as useful for making the space seem larger as it is for checking your outfit before heading out in the evening in Hesperange or setting off for work.
An ingenious partition
No sooner have you stepped through the entrance than a second design idea reveals itself… This trellis/shutter features adjustable slats that can be opened or closed with a simple push. This lends a very chic touch to this well-proportioned partition.

Magical, isn’t it?
A large wall-to-wall bookcase
The centrepiece of this interior design scheme in Hesperange spans an entire wall measuring nearly 5 metres. The bookcase gives this new flat a unique style thanks to its three timeless colours: white, wood and grey. Even the cat has its own spot, with a recess cut out to allow it to settle in as it pleases.
A kitchen island to complete the kitchen
The proposal to add this island provides an opportunity to fill the gap left by the lack of a practical piece of furniture in the kitchen. It creates a visual separation between the kitchen and the living room, as well as a welcoming and practical space whilst preparing meals. The worktop is made of luxury ivory onyx, which gives it a very chic look.
Culture in the Spotlight
The library is being fitted with dimmable lighting, controlled by remote, allowing for the creation and adjustment of a more or less cosy atmosphere. This really shows off the objects and books to their best advantage. Once it is full, the bespoke bookcase will reveal its full splendour and grandeur.
Bespoke and off-the-catalogue furniture
Starting from scratch on her new life in this flat, our client entrusted us with designing and ordering all the furniture: tables, chairs, armchairs and sofas from the designer brand Bonaldo, as well as lighting from Wever & Ducré. We are able to offer a superb selection of designer furniture catalogues, ranging from premium to luxury ranges.
