This bespoke white and wood TV stand and bookcase, crafted in Ixelles by the team at BeHome Interiors Brussels, is one of our designs that never fails to make an impression. Serving both as a bookcase for the whole family (where manga sit alongside coffee-table books and traditional comics) and a very elegant stand for the television screen, this design is a huge hit on our social media!
We won’t keep it from you – it’s one of our best-sellers!
Why is this TV stand and bookcase so popular?
Its lines and warm tones are, however, very clean and simple. Horizontal and vertical lines dominate, but it is the design—which avoids overly conventional symmetry—that is so appealing, playing with open and closed spaces in beautiful harmony. With its natural wood finishes and contemporary style, this bespoke piece blends effortlessly into both traditional and modern interiors, bringing both warmth and elegance. Spanning an entire wall, its elegant appearance instantly adds character to the room. That’s the beauty of bespoke furniture: it adapts to your spaces down to the last millimetre…
Who said things were better in the old days?
What did this living room look like before this TV cabinet took over the space?Just compare the before and after below – a picture is worth a thousand words…
Do you recognise the TV on the new bespoke TV unit? It’s definitely the same one as before.
What materials should be used for this TV stand and bookcase?
The white sections are made from high-density chipboard with a lacquer-effect melamine finish – an extremely durable material that is more affordable than lacquer and easy to maintain.
And if melamine doesn’t take your fancy, we’ll be able to find, amongst the hundreds of colours in the RAL, NCS and SIKKENS colour charts, the shade that matches your husband’s tie or the cushion in the living room.
The wood-effect section is made from genuine oak veneer with an oiled, rustic finish! We use these materials extensively for our bespoke furniture as they combine quality, durability and elegance, and allow for both understated simplicity and a touch of whimsy, in a choice of matt oiled, satin-finish varnish, ultra-matt or high-gloss finishes.
“A bespoke storage unit has been created that meets all my expectations. Quality is the watchword – from the customer service to the materials… Thank you for listening to my needs and for your ideas in creating a piece of furniture that’s just right for me!!!”
What is high-density fibreboard?
High-density fibreboard is an MDF board (made from wood fibres compressed to a medium density), which may or may not be finished with decorative veneers, and offers a very wide range of colours, materials and textures.
Wood veneer really makes an impact!
Wood veneer, as the name suggests, is wood! It is a thin sheet of wood applied to an MDF or chipboard panel. The illusion is perfect, and the quality is certainly there. The edges are finished with solid wood edging.
