Melody is a Luxembourgish influencer with a passion for fashion and sumptuous princess dresses. Known as ‘the girl in the dresses’, she shares her unique style and outfit trials with over 1.1 million followers from Luxembourg, France, Belgium and Switzerland who follow her on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
On Instagram, she has also been showcasing her flat project, into which she has just moved. It was therefore only natural that she chose to entrust us with the interior design of her new space. Join us as we reveal the story behind the interior design project for Melody Funck’s flat, along with her thoughts on this partnership, which spanned several months before coming to a successful conclusion this month. With just a few months to go before her flat was due to be handed over, Melody set about looking for inspiration for her interior design. With impeccable taste and a clear vision of what she wanted, she chose to call on BeHome Interiors to help her with this challenge. Her 35m² flat was handed over unfurnished and needed to be completely fitted out before she could move in. After presenting her project to us, she invited us into her future flat.

Initial meeting and viewing of the flat to be fitted out
Melody’s challenge was to design her 35 m² space, incorporating a walk-in wardrobe for her dresses and outfits, extra storage for accessories and shoes, and a kitchen area. She is inspired by a classic, chic and elegant style, featuring light, soft and modern colours. How can a small 35 m² space be optimised? How can the different areas be defined and given a specific function? How can the bedroom area be separated from the rest of the flat? Melody hopes to provide answers to all these questions. This initial meeting also allows us to take the necessary measurements and complete the first stage of the process, which involves offering advice and listening to her needs.
Second session: design and presentation of 3D projects
We are welcoming Melody to our new showroom in Hesperange, Luxembourg, to show her two projects designed by our interior designer, Fabrice Bailly. Whilst the first project is more in line with her tastes, featuring a classic and elegant style, the second offers optimised use of space within a chic and contemporary setting. Here are the results in pictures…
Project 01
Decorated in a chic and elegant classic style, with light colours contrasting with medium-toned oak flooring, the living area is divided into three distinct spaces:
- a cosy sitting area lit by a magnificent classic chandelier,
- a glass partition separates off an entrance hall featuring plenty of storage, shelving and a large mirror,
- a small lounge area with a sofa and a TV unit, behind which lies the large walk-in wardrobe that spans the entire wall. An electric sliding mechanism allows the TV to be lowered into the unit.
The room features decorative mouldings and a classic-style headboard, as well as spotlights to create a soft, relaxing atmosphere in the evening.
Project 02
In this project, the double bed is positioned in the centre of the room, with a swivelling desk area to the left and a TV corner to the right. An asymmetrical glass partition divides the space and incorporates two walk-in wardrobes fitted with tinted glass doors. In the entrance hall, storage solutions make the most of the space, whilst bookcases are positioned on either side of the desk and the TV area. The wood veneer on the shelves, desk and TV unit complements the colour of the medium-oak parquet flooring and lends a warm tone to the décor. The black walk-in wardrobe and glass partition contrast with the white storage units, adding a touch of elegance to the modern style.
Third meeting: selection of the interior design project
At our last meeting, Melody confirmed to us that she had chosen Project No. 1. This was the one that best met her expectations, so she selected it for the final fit-out of her flat. It was undoubtedly the huge walk-in wardrobe, over 5 metres long, that clinched her decision.
Having finalised the last few changes with Melody, we are now able to provide her with an estimated budget. In practical terms, to complete this project in full, we will need to budget between 30,000 and 40,000 euros for the fit-out and full installation of the bespoke furniture, the glass roof and the decorative elements.
